For centuries the French have captivated the world with some of the finest pipe organs ever built, such as those found in cathedrals, chapels, and concert halls throughout the country. No less treasured are the organist-composers of France, such as Charles-Marie Widor, Louis Vierne, Marcel Dupré, Maurice Duruflé, and others, whose compositions are arguably some of the most enduring works written for the instrument.
Join FPC’s Director of Music and Organist Weston Jennings for an evening of sizzling French fireworks performed on the largest pipe organ in East Texas. The concert will conclude with Maurice Duruflé’s Suite, Op. 5, a complex and dazzling tour-de-force.
Free admission, no tickets required.
