Dr. Fairfax F. Fair Biography

Dr. Fairfax F. Fair is a graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary (M.Div.) and Columbia Theological Seminary (D.Min.). In over thirty years of ministry, she has served as pastor to congregations ranging in size from 200 to 1,800 members in Texas, Michigan, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

She has published articles in Interpretation, The Christian Century, The Presbyterian Outlook, and Horizons, spoken in numerous venues, and is a contributor to two books published by Westminster/John Knox Press.

Dr. Fair currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Board of Pensions, PCUSA, and on the Board of Trustees for Union Presbyterian Seminary.

Widowed at an early age, she is the proud mother of a son, Barton Walker Fair, Jr. He and his wife, Jessie, have two precious children.
